Responsible to:
A.Provide prompt, accurate and efficient Transcription service to hospital physicians, while maintaining confidentiality of all records. Maintain 100% QA accuracy through editing.
B.Supervisory backup in the event of absence.
Requirements:
A.Great typing skills of not less than 60 wpm.
B.Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy and physiology, and the various medical specialities as required in areas of responsibility.
C.Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written) neccesary to perform the essential functions of the position (including but not limited to the English usage, grammar, punctuation, and sentence structure).
E.Developing ability to understand diverse accents and dialects and varying dictation styles.
F.Thorough knowledge of medical transcription guidelines and practices and ability to use designated reference materials.
G.Strong ability to operate designated word processing ( e.g., PC, word processing, and other software),dictation and transcription equipment, and other equipment as specified for the departments needs.
